DJANGO’S·WEDNESDAY, 10 JULY 2019·
Django’s is based on the Isle of Wight at Staplehurst Grange, the home of the old lavender farm. We are off the beaten track and you will find us in a stunningly serene courtyard after a lovely drive down a windy lane, alongside The Antiquary where you can also buy scented roses and relax in our beautiful and tranquil surroundings. Although we love dogs, unfortunately we can only allow guide dogs on site due to the landowners restrictions. There is a large car park here, we have wifi & accept card payments. We are a jazz cafe and a 100% plant based tapas restaurant. We host regular live music & events Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. At the moment we are a BYOB establishment, we are waiting on our alcohol license.
Poppy Dumbrell is a jazz & soul singer, you can catch her once a week at Django’s with her band. She has travelled with her music and this is her second live music venue and business. Poppy runs Django’s with Aidan and also gigs as Poppy Dee all over the UK.
Aidan Gant is the owner and head chef at Django’s, and recent Vegan Living magazine “Chef of the Month”. After training at Bournemouth college and spending the last decade working in kitchens, including working away in vegetarian and vegan restaurants across the South of England (most notably Michellin guide Terre a Terre in Brighton and one of the longest established vegetarian restaurants in the UK, Herbies in Exeter), Aidan has come home to the Isle of Wight to open Django’s with Poppy and share his extensive knowledge of vegan world cuisine with you all!
